Here it was time for the first mow.

We have an uninvited homesteader, a damn Gopher ! Ya can't see his hole cause Jesse was rootin around & pawin at it.

THE PROJECT / GRASS FOR JESSE part 2

Here I have spread the grass seed, covered it with fertilizer "cow shit" & begun watering.















7 Days later the grass had begun to sprout up.















At this point I began lookin around for a good used lawn mower & boy did I get lucky I found this barely used like new TROY-BILT mower & Homelite weedeater for $50 ! The guy only had a 4'X8' patch of grass so he went electric & just wanted to get these out of his garage.















After two & a half weeks the grass was spreadin out nicely.

THE PROJECT / GRASS FOR JESSE part 1

About Sept. 2nd or 3rd I got to bring home 50 tons of free clean fill dirt to put in Jesse's yard so I could plant him a yard full of soft green grass. I had already started movin the dirt here before I realized I needed to take pics. & document the project.















Here I've started movin the dirt into the yard with just a wheelbarrow & shovel & realized this project is gonna take a while to complete.















I've got the yard covered now & have raked up all the dirt clods for removal.















Finally I have the dirt spread as evenly as I could with just a rake & shovel.


















Next will be the planting.
